From the album Every Good Boy Deserves Favour! This song was written by drummer Graeme Edge. Here is a visual tour of most of their Non-Core 7 albums.

  • Blows your mind does'nt it What perfection, from such gifted musicians.I did not know that dear Graeme had written this ......I always wanted to be a drummer/ singer. Brilliant composition.

  • Punk? More like proto metal. I think this is probably the heaviest MB song.

  • @Northcarolinian Except it 's a bit hard to tell who's lead. Graeme can be heard in the phrases "of my wall" "way to fall" "risiing from the sea" etc.

And i love how he bangs the hi-hat.

  • Almost forgot how much I like that album. I happen to love Graeme's voice and his occasional songwriting efforts were always well worth a listen. Not too many bands can pull off a 5-part harmony. Thanks for posting!

  • 3:45~ yeeeeeeah~ those faint wistful strains of Pretty Vacant

  • Love The Moodies! This song is just so phenomenal!! A band who can never be touched!! Pure magic!! The Moodies forever my friends!! ♥

  • Hayward, Lodge and Thomas with Pinder doing the course bit. Edge was not a good singer at all. Pinder was by far the best singer in the band, then Hayward, Thomas and Lodge. But hey these 4 guys were very good singers and you could make out every word. I'll tell you something else I have played guitar since I was 18 (now 60) and Hayward is right up there with the best.

  • was B side of "Isn't Life Strange" (1972)

  • love the "punk" section at 3:45 !

  • thumbs up!
