No shit most Americans are in favor of Socialism.

Just give them basic descriptions of the economic policies of both Capitalism and Socialism and the majority of Americans (the middle-class, poor) will favor the one that EVERYONE can benefit from.

What kind of country would we have if it was completely republican. We would be at war with 10 different countries. Unemployment would be 30% unless you wanted to work for $5 an hour 12 hours a day and no benefits. We would be breathing smog and swimming in polluted run offs from gold courses installed on wild life refuges. The emergency rooms would be your primary health care provider or you could just pray that the bleeding cancerous tumor stops oh and fuck the elderly.

Regarding the socialism poll:

I'm living in a country that is halfway to socialism.

My country is rich, all citizens have either government or private health insurance, we are free and our infrastructure is among the best in the world.

Our economic system is called "Social market economy" (see wikipedia) and it's efficiency dominates our continent.

We are surrounded by friends and allies and we don't fight wars (anymore).

I'm German.

Socialism works when used wisely.

I think the "drug war" failure was also caused by NAFTA and deals made by Clinton that made people in Mexico poorer(farmers where wiped out farming foods of different kinds or something like that). Only option left: To grow and sell drugs. =)
