MTV Video Music Awards Preview

We've recently learned that MTV has officially announced that the VMA's will be making a return to Los Angeles.

The president of MTV says that the Video Music Awards are headed to Hollywood to celebrate the rock n roll spirit of music in the ultimate celebrity playground.

So what better way to do that than take over Paramount Studios? And, if you're MTV that's actually a viable option.

The star-packed event will be shot over city streets, rooftops, and sound stages located right inside the legendary Hollywood studio.

Details regarding the host, presenters and nominees will be released in August. What we do know is that the 25th edition of the VMA's will take place on September 8th---and organizers will be hard pressed to live up to last year's show.

In case you were unable to catch the 2007 VMA's, last year's extravaganza featured an off camera brawl between Pamela Anderson's ex-husbands Kid Rock and Tommy Lee, while Kanye West had a melt-down in front of the media because he lost all five categories for which he was nominated.

Then of course, there was the classic Britney Spears comeback turned setback, when the pop star appeared confused and out of shape.

Big winners last year included Mr. Justin Timberlake and Rihanna. I think we can bet on another big year for Rihanna and American Idol Alum Chris Daughtry -- but for now we will just have to wait and see.
