  • i just started playing xiangqi. since i didn't want to buy a real board i made one myself. i don't confuse the pieces anymore and i know all of the rules. the only thing i have to do now, is all about strategy! ;)

thanks for the videos! i'll watch them when i have time!

  • @TheRealityJack hi TheRealityJack, for more xiangqi information and strategies,

    i recommend srxqp's channel:

[the links are on my main channel page, comments section]

i think the checkmate methods are vital to success in xiangqi

i also recommend the website made by Jim from Taiwan

    (he's another Jim, not myself)

[link also on my channel page]

there are tons of useful information about xiangqi on the website.

  • @hk92jimmy thank you very much! i managed to beat a very easy computer recently, but i doubt that my skills are enough to succeed against the normal one.

  • @TheRealityJack ah, the links that i mentioned are located at the comments section on the lower right side of my channel page.

the URLs are: (pls remove the empty spaces)

    ww w.youtube.c om/user/srxqp

    ww w.xqinenglish.c om/

    ww w.facebook.c om/pages/xqinenglishcom/223543007685915

the checkmate methods on srxqp's channel are the most crucial part of tactics in xiangqi, and i think comprehending and making use of those checkmates can really make a difference in games.

  • Any chess clubs in SG? :P

  • I recently discovered 象棋 while reading a book, as an avid chess player I quickly became engrossed in Xiangqi, and memorized the rules and pieces in two days, this is SUPER helpful as I cant make a good strategy on my own.

  • @hk92jimmy thanks a lot! i saved these links on my desktop. now that the weekend starts, i hope to find some time to watch all these videos!

  • crap... nice video!
