another march and a my first critical mass. 95% of the riders who participated in this critical mass were arrested and their bikes were thrown in a big pile. of all the critical masses i have participated in, this was one of the best.
oh the sweet feeling of freedom. Then damn cops rip it away, such a shame. Everyone was moving along. Traffic may be slowed up as they pass. At least they aren't loitering in one place in the street. The cops are blocking far more traffic than the protesters.
i was there too- got arrested, spent a couple nights in the lovely men's central jail in LA.... the city and LAPD paid big time for their violation of our civil rights, and cyclists in LA came out on top in the end. nonviolence works.
unlawful to ride and block the streets? Fuck their laws, the system long since wore out its usefulness, its time for a change be it through passive non violence, or all out fucking war end of story, time for a fucking change.
yo yall got big balls for doin this shit... keep it up!!!! i will join in on one of these one day........ however, when me and my crew stand up, we not goin down without a gun fight get cho weapons fools while yall still can, JUST IN CASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! dumbasses.
Thanks for posting this!! I was one of the riders arrested, and you can see me at 3:51 with a really goofy smile on my face. This brought back a whole lot of memories, both good and bad.
