After several responses, I changed the title of this video to try to be more clear.... Guys, this is the original cast recording form 1970 mashed with the 2000 video! -- AND IT ROCKS!! It puts the 1973 movie to shame. --enough said... On with the concept...
I really love the Original Cast Recording of Jesus Christ Superstar. And while it's great to see its legacy continue, I'm continually disappointed in some way by just about all of the remakes, tributes, etc.
I was jazzed to learn that it was remade in 2000. But my joy quickly turned to angst the moment 'Judas' opened his mouth to sing.
So I got this crazy idea to combine the audio of the Original Cast Recording (from 1970) with the video of 2000 version. Trying to make things sync has been a challenge to say the least--and I know its not perfect; it's still a work in progress--but to me at least its for now somewhat tolerable to watch.
Your thoughts and opinions are greatly appreciated.

BRILLIANT. I grew up with the older version on lp and prefer the soundtrack still, but i love the visuals of the 2000 version (and Jérôme Pradon's perferormance rocks).

the 2000 version kicked ass. Not seen the 73 version yet but i don't know how it's gonna compare

@thetwilightzone100 Check out the 1970 Original Cast Recording first. (the OCR is the one with the simple brown cover with the double faced angels.) I think the '73 version is the movie soundtrack. IMHO, the movie "acting" was rather hokey. Nevertheless some people favor Ted Neely's vocal performance as Jesus over Ian Gillan's (who performed on the 1970 OCR.) However, I disagree. Musically, emotionally, and sonically speaking the 1970 OCR out rocks them all!! :D
