  • One of his best....just wished that it had came out on CD back then...still have my cassette tape of this :) just no player :(

  • so hard to find side 2

  • I remember listening to this in my dorm room lighting pieces of paper on fire and watching them float around like fire-bats. Did I mention the liquid LSD? Yeah there was that too . . .

  • Waiting for the Upturn is one of my fave The The tracks. And it's amazing that he got the Clangers to do the vocals on Fruit of the Heart.

  • Fantastic!

  • WOW... a blast from the past. Forgot about the bonus tracks. Matt is simply brilliant, innovative and is there a better writer of lyrics?

  • Just beautiful, love atmosphere and tension created by Matt's voice and the arrangement. Wish these songs were still available as I lost my Soul Mining cassette long ago. So many memories attached. Love all of Matt's work but adore his early stuff, Burning Blue Soul especially.

Thank you so much for the upload.

  • i had the american 45 rpm infected single. it was one of the b-side songs.

  • one of the most fantastically underrated songs ever. i remember buying this cassette back in 1984, i was about 12, i totally fell in love with all the stuff that never quite made the cut, Steve Jones Sherlock, all that stuff, I bought the artwork for the cassette about 15 years later from Andy Dog...hangs in my study. Still feel the same when I listen to it now. Except I have less hair.

  • thank you so much for putting this on! this is my favourite the the track!
