Political Asylum in Ireland

Over the last few years, more than several Irish filmmakers have made documentary films concerning the plight of "asylum seekers" in Ireland - each with his/her own agenda.

None of these filmmakers have ever been granted permission by the Irish government to film inside the hostels, and "asylum seekers" have proven to have been, shall we say...reticent to tell their own stories, on film, regarding the conditions of their accommodation in Ireland - not to mention exactly what brought them to Ireland, and how they arrived there.
