The IGM (Institute for Genetic Medicine) Art Gallery is on the campus of USC's Keck School of Medicine.
The mission of The Institute for Genetic Medicine Art Gallery is to serve as an art-framed forum for open-minded, deliberative discussions on complex social issues that interface with the creative process and findings of research in molecular biology, health and social systems. Lynn Crandall is the director of the IGM Art Gallery.
A young film maker (Spencer Sullivan) has produced a documentary film capturing the essence and spirit of this dynamic institution. The song "Scarborough Fair" served as the "theme" of the film. Scarborough Fair is a beautiful traditional song describing a person being charged with a series of impossible deeds to achieve his "goal".
Thus is modern society, being asked to do very difficult tasks inorder to move forward, remain civilized, and stay tollerent of other's viewpoints.
Sung by an incredibly talented young voice (Hannah Sullivan) and accompanied by a young guitar virtuoso (Christopher Strombeck) this rendition of the classic troubadour ballet is truly "hauntingly beautiful".
Hannah,
You have the voice of an ANGEL! Love it and want to hear more. :)
