Who in their right minds would allow homes and a kid's daycare on the site of the world's biggest asbestos factory?

  • Somebody was on a backhander.

  • Bury Cyril Smith in an Asbestos Coffin (he died a few days ago) this factory is still killing people years after it closed

  • Sadly, Australia is no different. James Hardie behaved in a similar manner and unfortunately the workers are paying the price. As many as 40,000 may have developed asbestos related diseases by 2020 although James Hardie stopped manufacturing asbestos products in March 1987.

I can see the same thing happening if full scale uranium mining and nuclear power are introduced.

  • Just one thing...

if this is "Part 2", then where is "Part 1"?

    cheers

    SSV

  • Thank you for this.

Whilst everything on the film is true and can be substantiated, we as a campaign and local community must rely on our town council. We have to be far more diplomatic and less critical of their past actions- but thank you nevertheless for your clip and your view of what has gone on with T&N and since 2003/4 when the site was sold to its current owners.

    History must not repeat itself.

One further cancer death from Spodden Valley's asbestos is one too many.
