Val is 55. I trained with him in CA at Hombu. First time I met him was in 1978 at the world Cup. I fought Boban and tied him... I was a brown belt then... :)
Val is simply incredible. He's the king of sweep.

Does anyone know what weight Mr. Mijailovic was fighting at then? Cause for a big guy, he moved EXTREMELY fast and smooth. Thx for posting this.. he is very impressive.

Val and I started and trained together. In 1970 we were only green belts and still located at the Hollywood Blvd. and Normandie Ave. dojo. We tested together for Brown and Sho Dan black belts at the Sunset and Highland dojo. And yes indeed. Val is one of the best.
