  • "I don't think the Doha talks should get mixed up with the Lisbon Treaty or any referendum on it. Rejecting the treaty would not be in Ireland's interests, it wouldn't be in Europe's interests," said Mr Mandelson on Tuesday (6 May). If one studied the ambiguity in the agreement, one would reject it and make certain that the needs of farming are solidly entrenched. Of course the Treaty and Doha are linked, thats the point. Rejecting the document is not anti FF or FG. Vote No and Safeguard Farming

  • Vote yes to keep Europe free and united. :

  • its vital that the main farming organisations advocate a yes vote there are several reasons why they should do this. The WTO talks are an entirely separate matter and that campaign should happen independent of Lisbon.

  • You might realise that once you give all the power to unelected bureaucrats, that this treaty is intended to do you're power to influence decisions may be gone forever.

Is it worth sacrificing that for a short-term deal over Mandelsohn. After all they might seem to do a deal now and overturn it later, when you can do nothing to prevent it.
