@torquemaster I played 6 years on the Alembic frettless 5 string bass... until some fuck-up stole it, prolly to get a fix or something.

FUCKING BEAUTIFUL

the presenter at the beginning looks just like Steve Perry from Journey.

music is very very kool!

@bryantcindan One can be critical about alembic (sounds too hifi, weighs too much, outdated design, pompuous looks) but i never had problems with alembics going out of tune. Whereas Jaydees..........

Flat out, Mark is bloody fantastic! His sense of groove is second to none and he has the most musical slap chops period.
-
@StixH Indeed, it probably was, as Mark has always said that Stanley Clark was one of his biggest influnces

Mike Lindup is an excellent musician and I think this track really shows that. I love it!
-
Sounds very much like this track was influenced by Stanley Clarke's School Days!

i have always liked the style of Mark, and that Alembic bass sound is absolutely superb. i would not compare Mark to Marcus, they are totally different styles and musical venues. They are both excellent in their respective venues. This is a form of art, there is no "one is better than the other".

the bass didn't go out of tune. it was out of tune when he started. Too bad, it's a great jam.
