I think you get shortness of breath because nicotine is a vasodialator, meaning it constricts blood vessels in your body- specifically, in this case, your lungs. An ecigarette delivers nicotine much faster than a cigarette, from what I've read, hence the shortness of breath. Still, it is only nicotine, which, again, from what I've read, is not the one of many carcinogens in a cig. I have had an eGo for a day and I like it a lot.
