  • he was a great villian in the serial "Jungle Girl" as Nyoka's arch enemy..episodes are up on youtube

  • Just heard him the other night as an uncredited narrator in "The 49th Man." An interesting film from 1953 which posited, at the time, the implausible notion that terrorists were smuggling atom bombs into the US a piece at a time, in small suitcases. Have you ever heard anything so silly? Yeah, several times, all within the last 10 years. OK--back on point. Mr. Mohr had an awesome set of pipes. Too bad he died so unexpectedly, and so relatively young.

  • I believe I heard his voice as the voice over intro on early Lone Ranger episodes. He did one of my favorite first season Man From UNCLE episodes: The See Paris And Die Affair. He did Audie Murphy western for Universal; Duel At Silver Creek in which he played thoroughly despicable heavy, notable because during gunfight climax he shoots his sixgun like it actually had live .45 rounds; an attempt at authenticity not done until films like Tombstone decades later.

  • Definetly Super Cool!

I've seen him on Shows like MAVERICK

    CHEYANNE..LAWMAN...THE GIRL FROM UNCLE....

I only wish he had guest starred on "the Untouchables"..

  • Gerald Mohr played Phillip Marlowe, private investigator, on the radio in the early 50's. He had the voice for it, one of the best in the business. This is the first time I've seen him on film.

  • Mohr was known for playing tough characters, even when he was "Philip Marlowe" on radio from 1949 through '51...he was later the voice of "Reed Richards" in the first animated TV version of "THE FANTASTIC FOUR", in 1967-'68.

  • From "Girls, Guns and Gangsters" (1959). Gerald Mohr is the gangster, Mamie Van Doren is the girl. Featuring Lee Van Cleef and Paul Fix.
