MBTA Commuter Rail at Readville Station, Hyde Park, MA.

It sounds like I got hit by the train, but actually, I got hit by the wind from the non-aerodynamic cab car at 80MPH. The wind was strong enough to blow my hat off my head. The squeal you hear before the ditch lights flash is the (messed up) horn.

  • I never knew the MBTA ran that fast. I wouldn't really know though. I usually only ride out of North Station.

  • They only run at 80mph on the NEC. North side trains run at about 60mph.
