Wow, I have never seen such positivity for mushy 1' - 2' waves. Well good for you. No negative comments at all......I have to recheck this to make sure this was a surfing vid.......no negative comments ? That's a first.. Isn't anybody going to bag on the waves or call so and so a fag or something....?

pig dogging is usually used when its at least overhead backside barreling....i.e. THE pigdogger himself andy irons at 'chopes...but hey he is exhibiting some style on a smallish wave...

not bad, just moved to seattle from hawai'i, hoping to get out there this weekend. What's the bottom like? is it just like rocks? cause i'm assuming it's not reefs up here

@CoreyL11 it's sand. Most places around here have sand under them. (one of the reasons they aren't so consistent and changes from year to year).

There isn't really an "average" day at westport. That's probably the worst part about it - so consistent. That being said, I consistently have fun surfing there ;).

is this a dangerous place to surf with all the rocks?? What's the best place in WA in your opinion?

This is the most consistent spot in WA to surf. There are 3 breaks there: the groins, the cove, and the jetty. This is the groins (right across the street from the islander).
It can be dangerous if the waves are big or the current is strong. On smaller days like this it's pretty safe. The Jetty in the summer on small days is very safe.
