As for the muzzle energy: The .50 M2 ball round develops a V0 of 856 m/s. With a bullet weight of some 43 grams this makes for an E0 of 15753 J. The 14.5mm B-32 propels its projectile weighing 64 grams to a V0 of 990 m/s resulting in 31363 J of E0.
That's a ratio of nearly 2:1 in 14.5's favour. Get over it.
And yes, I know there are .50 BMG rounds more potent than the M2. That's why I said "roughly".

Had my laptop hooked up to the home stereo listening to music at decent volume...my brother comes bustin' thru the front door sayin "U have got 2 see this evil bastard!" and pulls this up&forgets 2 turn volume down. Gun fires. My first thought(after picking my asshole up off the floor)was that im pretty damn sure if an elderly person wouldve been here,id be doin chest compressions!
