broken iBook board works after some hot air

this is a broken iBook G4 800 logic board returned to life after some tweakings.

questa scheda logica è tornata in vita dopo una passata di aria calda con phon industriale, e un po' di viti che la tengono stretta su una tavola di legno, facendola piegare leggermente nella parte sotto l'hard disk. in questo modo ha di nuovo fatto il boot e caricato Tiger senza problemi. per averla pagata 10€ rotta devo dire che non è andata troppo male

Yikes. How did you manage to hook that up?

i bought this board in bundle with other pieces for my iBook (you can see my ibook opened in the end of this video). all those pieces were taken off a malfunctioning ibook G4 800, and there are lot of these ibook broken because of bad solderings on logic board. i've given some hot air by using and industrial phon (1kW i think) and then i've put the logic board on a wooden little board, and fixed there with 3 screws.
