My problem with the stop loss isnt because of what it does to soldiers...but what it does to units. Once a unit returns from a deployment they lose around 30% of its NCO core each time. And with yr on yr off rotation it destroys and weakens units....instead of them geting out naturaly and being replaced one for one

yea your right the law is the law. so why are police arresting people for things that are not against the law and violating are civil rights??

Sure, stop loss sucks, but it's not like it's a surprise. I can't even remember how many times stop loss is mentioned in writing. Without stop loss, half our military could be out of service before a conflict ends. These people did swear an oath before the flag and their god of choice to serve for 8 years if necessary. The war is poorly planned and a disaster, yes, but the law is the law.
