Mistral Amphibious Assault Ship

The Mistral class is a helicopter carrier and amphibious assault ship of the French Navy. It can transport a complete combat battalion with air support and equipment to enforce the will of France whenever and wherever we see fit.

@USApowerMAN16 the problem is it doesn't have a good enough deck quality. And it can not be upgraded easily as the deck is a structurally critical part of the design. rather than being superficial and connected to the superstructure...

@USApowerMAN16 France does not have any and does not care to have any harriers or f35b's. they have (i believe its) 4 mistral class ships. They are meant to carry choppers and embarked forces. Even the U.S's wasp class only carrys 6 harriers, it can carry 20 but the argument is that they are not carriers they are amphibious landing ships, the U.S never fills them up with harriers. Thats how France sees them too. so why have harriers?

+ the landing deck need to be high température resistant to meet the requirement of F35B + France (and russia) don't give a shit about those VTOL (very)short range plane as we have "REAL" carrier and will not buy US made plane.
