  • No it does not ruin the paint. It softens the adhesive on most things.

  • You are right, fishing line will work also.

  • What about an 2008 Impala? Do you follow the same steps?

  • @4rogue6 Yes the same technique should also work for a 2008 Impala. I would do some research on a Impala forum to be sure. There may be alignment holes that have to be filled.

  • does this work on a 2001 mustang gt also? i was told for the year of my car they were drilled on?

  • @streetdemon20 Yes it will work but there are two alignment holes behind the badge that willl have to be filled and painted. You can also use fishing line and a hairdryer to soften the adhesive.
