The apes at the sanctuary receive many types of enrichment. One example is tubs filled with water on a hot summer day. This water tub has "no more tears" shampoo and makes lots of suds to play with.

Lucy, an orangutan at National Zoo, is the mistress of bubble making (and bubble eating!) but, as far as I know, she doesn't get in the tub. She swishes from the outside. This orangutan shows his absolute trust in his environment (and keepers) at the Center. Good work!!

If I wanted to hear music, I'd visit music videos. Dubbing music over the natural sounds of the animals is so aggrivateing

@JaniceParton Hi Janice, we agree. This was our very first attempt at posting videos two years ago. There was a lot of people chatter that was even more distracting than the music. We've learned a lot since then and almost all of our videos feature the natural sounds of the apes playing, feeding, etc. I'm sure you'll enjoy the newer videos. Thanks.
