A journey with the indian populations who regained through Speech the strenght to reassure its place in the History of Mexico.

We will follow the zapatist march leading to Mexico, through 3000 km, and we will see a wide range of faces, fears, convictions and hopes arise from this historical event. Striking for citizenship, for the recognition of their rights and cultures by the Constitution, these populations teach us that true democracy is first of all the experience of sharing words.

Marcos diferent speeches will appear in the film and will transmit a universal message : the right to live in acordance with its own identity and its own differences.

Zapatism is a universal movement because its anger is recognisable by people all around the world. It is adressed against neo-liberalism, economic pressures in our daily life, and shrinking of public space.

Words regained is the portrait of a country writing its own history.
