You can call it the Americanized version of dragon ball. The material went through a cultural filter and out came this stuff.

He's Japanese version of Wukong, in a sense. Since he is created/ owned by a Japanese company.

Goku character was based off an Asian mythological character. Plot evidence / Author intentions point him toward Asian appearance. His transformation into a super sayian was much like a light bulb lights up "The light in the darkness". Hence forth the color of his hair glows yellow, not turn blonde. But you can call it blonde if you want to label it a color.

@9dragonkings there were many problism with the live action movie...one..the actor choices..the fact they tried setign it in real modern times..when its cleary the future..kinda..in dbz..none of the villans looked right.. that..and it was made by americans..a far as i know

Actually Jackie Chan would make a great Goku if he was 20 years younger. He's definitely got Goku's humor. The thing that annoyed me about the live action was that the actor didn't even act like Goku.
