  • I think this mouse was faster than the first place, but it took too long to start

  • I would assume that after learning the maze he uses a modified flood-fill algorithm that will take into account the shortest AND straightest path and determines the fastest route in that manner. I don't know what you mean by "hard coded", the mouse has to learn the maze then determine the best route to the center.

  • Is the route the mouse takes for the speed run hard coded, or is it generated from the first run?
