I am glad CAPD is becoming more known. I am a junior in highschool. Had chronic ear-infections when I was a little girl--starting well before I was a year and had a total of 6 ear tube surgeries until 8. I was diagnosed in 5th grade with CAPD. It totally rings true to me. Also I had ADD. Nonetheless, recently I found out a link between CAPD and Nonverbal Learning Disorder--a disability I have. You should think about doing it on your show. It is on the Autism Spectrum, and affects many children.

Is it too late for a 27 year old female to get help for a potential APD?

I have it. It's just like hearing something, then almost forgetting what you just heard. Sometimes forgetting if you asked it.
Haha, it's really strange how I can relate to this.
I only found I had it a while ago.
