Welcome back zappers, Im Devin Curry with http://Shazap.com. Your online video source for comic book news and reviews. Follow me on Twitter at http://twitter.com/devincurry.

This series started strong but has fizzled as of late. There was so much depth to this story within marvel continuity that it made this story very intriguing. The problem is that marvel started focusing on the depth and not the story. Rather than moving the story forward they continued looking back not even at how they got there but just what was going on behind what we thought we knew. There was also not a lot to the story basically all they have is the skrull invasion and the earth's counter attack. They haven't filled the gaps with anything but Fury's new recruits but they didn't make that very interesting. I would have liked to have seen more of the regrouping and planning for how to strike back. I wanted to hear how the heroes feel about some of their friends and loved ones turning out to be Skrulls and how their dealing with it. I just don't feel that marvel went deep enough int this story and have let us all down. The final battle looks exciting but I don't know if it will be enough to make up for the lack of story Distributed by Tubemogul.

  • i have been saying the exact same thing as u. secret invasion has been concentrating more on the depth and filler instead of moving on with the story line. and when they all massed up at the end of the last issue to fight the skrulls, how the hell did they all mass up? it seemed so random.

  • thumbs up!

  • The thing with these big events is that they take too long. How ya gonna refer to a summer event that lasts thru December. I think if they compressed stories like SI and Final Crisis into about 4 months the excitement would be a lot easier to sustain and it wouldn't be such a chunk out of the wallet. Another way to go would be to follow their own models like Annhilialtion and Conquest. Much more compact and really under appreciated.
