It was Hindus (with some Muslims) who adopted Sikhism in the Punjab in 15th century. Even today, Jat Sikhs alone comprise in between 50-66% of Sikhs. As I am a Jat, so I know that until recently it was a tradition for Jats to marry their elder son to Sikhs - mainly to increase their population. Sikhs originated from Hindus - with other reasons - to protect the Punjab from invaders. So, the girl in above video sounds very idiotic when she tries to project Sikhs as foreign messiahs for the Hindus.

Respect every religion and we all should respect our great forefathers who gave blood and sacrificed everything so that we could live with dignity. We should all work together to for a bigger goal. Look at Pakistan it has become a piece of shit......if we do not forget small nonsense between us India will be a piece of shit.

How and why did Sikhism started ?

Who were the great Gurus?

What did they stood for?

How did they sacrifice for us?

I am originally from Punjab and not a sikh per say...but have tremendous amount of respect for my sikh brothers, sisters and elders.

Sikh brothers/sisters also should not forget what punjabi hindus did for them, in my family we never ever ever said anything negative and have respect about sikhism

I am originally from Punjab India, grown up with my sikh friends, it is total shame, any one making fun of Sikhism, I am not Sikh per say, but this religion and sacrifices of the great Gurus are very dear to me.

But sikhs should not forget Punjabi Hindus, treated them like their brothers too, I still respect and love my sikh friends mother and sister more than I do mine.

It is total shame in Punjab now, when we were growing up in 50, 60, 70 never ever we thought we are two.

@chantejbedi Thirdly, I also respect every religion. And I wanted to convey the same message here so that people stop posting abusive comments against any religion. Fourthly, I am Jat & lived among both Hindus & Sikhs. So, I know that both Jats & Sikhs brag about themselves; and also mistreat others - esp. lower caste people.
