The thing is, not everyone needs a mac. People, like me, that are in to video editing, web design, etc, prefer macs. However, the general person off the street doesn't need a computer for that, so why get a mac? That's why Windows marketshare is so high. But the people that do serious work on computers prefer Macs. Neither one is better. It depends on what you will use it for. Macs are more expensive, but it's worth the extra money, if you use it.
