Vintage 30s are not a good pair with this amp. The Greenbacks, which the Marshall 425 Vintage Modern cabinets are loaded with, sound the best. The only other speakers I've used with my Vintage Modern that sounded good were Celestion Lead 80s.

i prefer orange over any cabinets. just sound punchier.

I had a Jcm 800 cab with t-75s I used when I first got mine. Went to the house of guitars and tried every Marshall cab there. The 1960av won hands down, even over the 425. Still wasn't happy though and went back to my fav JCM 800 1960a with g12-65s a buddy of mine had. Far and away the best cab for any Marshall amp.

God no not the G-12T75s!!!!!!!!!!!!! they are horrible, if you thought this clip was brittle you'd claw your eyes out with G-12T75s!. Plus they sound like they take away 25% of your gain in High Dynamic Range. Stale lifeless cab.

Vintage 30s rock with this amp as do green backs. This is just one of many tones the VM can do, not the best and not the worst.

I want my vintage modern cab back. I lost it in a car wreck. Jimi Hendrix special celestions??? WTF??? Thats too cool. I got to get a hold of one! Cool vid. I love avatar! If only marshall would bump up quality again!

I like the trebs. I have a JVM 210H, but seems that it doesnt have this brightness. Am I right? I am thinking of trading for the Vintage Modern
