The origins of the 'original' Pina Colada are as varied as it's recipes. Depending on where you are and who the bartender is... you will get many, many different versions of this delicious drink. Puerto Rico is probably the place of origin... but when? It seems the recipe for the original recipe did NOT contain orange juice. That was my idea.... This recipe is a good usable version that has an inviting color because of the OJ. Cheers!

Too many prepared ingredients (syrup and coconut rum); better to prepare from base ingredients. Also a pina colada should be garnished with pineapple, not orange!
