@LibertarianPersian I have to call you on this one friend. You have every reason to be proud of your ancient past, but claiming that it all started in Iran is a little bombastic. Fact is that at least 4 civilizations (Mesopotamia, Egypt, Indus Valley, and China) started in relative isolation from each other around the same time, but it was so long ago that no one really knows which came first.

My hubby is half Phillipino and we have been together for 27 WONDERFUL years=) Great for you guys, it is sad that so many have probs.w/ culters they have never had hands on experiance with and I hate it that most just believe what they are told insted of learning for themselves=)

@Curas1 I am half Persian - born and raised in the states. If he was to visit Iran in uniform - he would be welcomed. Iran has never started a war with Iran while the US tried to overthrow Iran twice (and failed). Iranians are very educated in comparison to Arab countries - they don't hate the US, the military - they hate the politicians and they hate their own politicians. Huah

Not an atheist,, (not a Christian either), idiot pigheadedness is not a special trait of any particular group, its a symptom of willful ignorance, I can top your story, I've been ostracized by my family for dating someone they don't know, - someone outside their sphere of influence, and then I've had my future ruined because I didn't want to get into the family business.. on the whole they are atheist, but I don't see that as the issue, being utterly screwy is the issue.
