Thanks for your comments. There are some misconceptions about sunscreens and about the health benefits of sun. Sunscreens from years ago were not as effective as today. Look for sunscreens with broad spectrum coverage; many are now excellent at both UVA and UVB protection. Zinc oxide and titanium dioxide are safe and effective sunscreens. Aloe vera and coconut oil might have benefits, but they don’t deflect sun rays or protect your skin from sun; oils can increase the risk for sunburn.
