One of the most frequently asked questions we receive is how to setup the CutContour line in Corel Draw. This will allow you to easily define printing lines and cutting for Print and Cut machines like the Roland VersaCamm or Soljet. Most major RIP vendors utilise the CutContour naming convention which has become somewhat of an industry standard.

  • @naaneesnoop a new X5 tutorial is now available on our YouTune channel.

  • is it possible to create cut lines in photoshop instead

  • @ariana29x no this can be done in Illustrator though. Just setup a spot colour called CutContour.

  • Thanks for the tut. I`m having trouble doing as you do as i can`t find the user inks in windows 7. please could you help me do this. I have corel draw x5. Thankyou David.

  • @naaneesnoop this tutorial will not work for X5, as the color pallette system is based on XML with X5, not the .cpl format used in X4 and earlier. I will endeavour to do a new video for X5.
