Driving alone through the desolate streets of South Philadelphia, a young grad student named Rachel Cohen was shocked to see homeless kids -- some younger than her -- living beneath a highway overpass. Even more shocking was the fact that several of these kids were caring for abandoned animals. It was then that Rachel found inspiration to start a unique program which connects Covenant House kids with homeless pets at a local animal shelter.

Watch our kids learn about love, nurturing, and patience while being Hand2Paw volunteers!
