This montage of AT&T ads came from a 1993 Newsweek CD-ROM, when Newsweek thought that one day, magazines would be sent to you in CD-ROM form, sponsored with ads. It's an interesting view of the future.

  • @SystemSyko I know, all I can say is we came along way. I recall my folks telling me how good I have it, since they didn't have gadgets back in the day. Keep in mind, they were commenting on my Game Boy pocket. They didnt' even come out in color yet.

I'm saying that right now! This generation has it made, with Ipads, PS Vita, 3DS. I would have killed to have a portable PS1!

  • Whats this @marino asshole talking about?

  • @randygelion Hahaha i knew it was her. What do you think about all those technologies in this vid? i know were the same age so i just want to see your opnions on these commercials. LOL

  • I have read tons of comments and no one has mentioned that flat screen T.V hung on the wall. NO ONE back in 1993 had those. That didnt even start up until probably 6 years ago. Thats probably the most surprising thing to see in this vid besides that 93' version iPad.

  • @SystemSyko Holy shit it is Dharma! Isn't that Jenna Elfman?

Damn, I haven't seen that show in ages.

  • Is that Dharma from "Dharma and Greg" in the phone booth?

  • i would have been more amazed if this video was from 87 or 88. A lot of this stuff was being developed in 93.

  • @gusem Yeah pretty much all of these are real now, (except that opening a door with your voice thing, does anyone actually do that?) but back then this seemed to futuristic, today these gadgets are about as exciting as a microwave oven

  • @alreadydefective I hope you're joking. Nobody could be that inept.

  • Amazing how many of these became true, and the others still can.
