Tikitrom, Lisa was taught creole music by Joe Simien - thats credentials enough for me (plus her 2008 Cajun/Zydeco Grammy nomination). Coming from SF she has lots of influences in her music but she can play fine fine creole fiddle. Always Be Your Guide never fails to makes me cry. That's what music is about for me, moving people's hearts, who cares about what you call it? I always get transported to Louisiana when I hear Lisa play - and when I get privileged to appear on stage with the band

Wake up people...this is NOT Cajun or Zydeco music. Does terrible injustice to the REAL musicians from Louisiana.

@meiklefielder I am the guy with the cowboy hat in front of the speakers at 1.58, I was guesting on scrubboard with Lisa and the 'Kats. The beautiful lady in the stripy dress was my partner Robbie - she had cancer and died in August of this year. I am very grateful to you for posting this which brings back such wonderful memories.

@zphil So sorry to hear about your lovely lady Phil. My daughter and I remember her well as she shone out in the crowd.
