Improper detainment and search of soldiers living quarters. This was the result of a battalion health and welfare inspection. Over 250+ rooms were searched in an identical manner. The proper protocols and procedures for search were not observed in almost every case. This was not a reasonable search and no probable cause was present likewise. The occupants of the quarters were not duly informed nor present as per regulation. The searches were initiated AFTER the MP drug dogs had cleared the rooms and were done by individuals who had no legal right to search the rooms in this circumstance. Dozens of of complaints have been made to proper channels and the issue will hopefully be settled appropriately. Had proper protocol been followed and the search of the barracks been done in a reasonable manner there would be no issue. A proper and responsible search for suspected paraphernalia would have been much more effective and less damaging the unit morale. DISCLAIMER: This is not meant to discredit chain of command nor instigate dissent but rather display facts.
This is some bullshit!!!! I would of lost my fycking marbles!!!!!
