http://www.mlwebco.com - The Magazine Cover Graphic, Text Effect - Adobe Fireworks Tutorial - In this video I demonstrate how to achieve the magazine cover text effect where the text shows up behind the person giving the illusion that the person is in front of the text. This is done in Adobe Fireworks but can also be achieved in Adobe Illustrator. Basically it can be done in any graphic application that has the vector pen tool and masking capabilities.

Yes, using the vector mask trick allows you to correct your steps and adjust.

You want to maintain at least good line art and keeping everything vector is key to a clean title/nameplate. I was shown a technique that avoids the hard clipping-path-look some do, but it is not fully relying on some kind of Photoshop alpha channel ether. Have you received any feedback from other production artists like my self. Can any page designers ring in on this?
