Can you use other light sources on solar panels and get same energy like wrapping panels with El wire or electroluminescent glow wire or fiber optic glow wire and get more energy than you put into it?

Forget solar. We need to improve humans so they can fly, see in the dark, and change their skin to stay warm.

For the time being, it seems that solar power isn't the greatest solution for harnessing energy in regards to efficiency. But of course, like with every piece of technology, there's always the potential to make it better! I wish all of you at MIT who are working with solar the best of luck with improving it.
