This presentation, Grid 101: Transmission and Nebraskas Energy Future, by Bruce Rew, Vice President of Engineering at Southwest Power Pool, explains the basics about transmission, the role of Southwest Power Pool in the development of Nebraskas wind energy resource.

The development of wind energy in Nebraska will be limited by the transmission systems capacity to carry power to the market. This spring, Nebraska Public Power District, Omaha Public Power District and Lincoln Electric System will become members of the governing transmission authority, Southwest Power Pool.
