  • one sad thing is the grips will always rotate and putting them back into there normal position is pointless

  • @FreshNoobDancer yeah thats not good,a bit of a let down?

  • @TheTreklover lol not so much the grips feel the same either way, I say no point of designing them that way unless they were literally glued in place.

  • @FreshNoobDancer i agree, the left side seem's to turn more than the other, mite have something to do with the way i dress?

  • @FreshNoobDancer

Yes That's what I hate about the satellite grips too even soapy water or hairspray wouldn't keep it still.. I ended up switching them out for Oury Grips black.

  • @kikikittygirl i agree thay are shit, not happy about the brakes as well

  • Hy, i would like to buy the same model of the 2012 line.

Have some questions: is it comfortable? any vibrations etc.

Is it possible to put bigger tyres on it?

    thanks

  • I have the 2009 Trek and its stood the test of time

  • I liek to ride bikes.

  • @MidwoodBrooklyn Hi, incase you haven't decided yet.. I have some info.

The Trek is about $50-100 cheaper than the Sirrus. The Trek's components are of better quality, but the Sirrus comes with a carbon fiber fork. The Trek comes with an ergonomic grip while the Sirrus has standard grips with barends. I own the Trek 7.3 FX and I love it, but if someone stole my Trek and replaced it with the Sirrus, I wouldn't mind at all.

  • see funny ? reaction article at Why do men cycle so seriously? (a monograph in draft, copyright assigned to Cycle Forums)

  • @gmlasam Did you get the Trek FX 7.3, the Specialized Sirrus Elite or something else? I'm looking at both as well. Thanks.

  • @mosesposes77 See chapter 3, page 26 of the user manual, it covers how to reverse this to normal.

Regarding mt69298's comment about "learning to brake with both hands", this doesn't really apply because you'll always be braking differently with front and rear brakes on any bike, especially off road or when cornering on the road when jabbing on the front brake will low side you instantly!

    HTH

  • i have the 2009 one, very nice
