That is true for the screen refresh, however the internal processing time of the actual data on the page can make a difference. For example, I read a number of converted PDFs that contain images/charts, and the page load time for a page with an image/chart is painfully slow.
Now obviously my example is the extreme case and for this video it would not likely be a noticable change, but it would be nice if someone could test pages with graphics side by side to compare rendering times.
^^False. Each page turn resets every pixel on the page to black, then to what it should be. Every page turn takes the same amount of time no matter what is on the page.

he viewed a page with hardly any material on it (on the kindle 1) which is why it went so quickly.
