When we lose our respect for the symbols by which the nation is known we have already lost that respect in our hearts. Thus by doing so we have divided, thrown down and made nothing the blood that was shed to give every person in the US the ability to spew your vehemence against the greatest nation of the world and if you are so offended by that statement try going to any other nation and do the exact same things in the exact same ways and find how far or how long you live free?

I do not pledge my Allegiance to any government & never will. This government, like all governments throughout history, has failed it's purpose. Be it from it's initial statement of equality among all men, then to go on slaughtering & almost wiping out an entire race of humans (Native Americans). Or this false belief that we've been a Free-Market system, only to have corporatist fascism to grow in it's place. I will not pledge to anything but the truth.

You have the right to not worship or believe in God, however separation of church and state isn't in the Constitution. That came from a letter Thomas Jefferson wrote 10 years after the Constitution was penned. He ws quoting famous Baptist Minister Roger Williams. The letter was to the Danbury Baptist s in Connecticut and assured them the government couldn't by law tell the church what to do and also that there wouldn't be one religion favored over another.

I believe that this should be told to all students in this exact fashion to teach our children the true meaning or the Pledge of Allegiance.
