God its such a tragedy the Jon Brion produced version of this album never saw public release. I honestly think its one of the best albums of all time. I'm talking Pet Sounds/Sgt. Pepper/Ok Computer good.

@kmacmuzikmafia27 Well, I'll have to pick up that issue of Rolling Stone. Until then, I'll only have my memory of the Gaga interview in Cosmo and the "I'm the modern Andy Warhol." comment.

Hopefully new insights will help me change my mind about her, I guess.

I read an article on Lady Gaga in the new Rolling Stone issue - if you want evidence that she's a bit of a tortured genius, you should read that. I get the unoriginal point, a lot of her songs are purely for dance and fun. Hopefully her new album is a little deeper.

@kmacmuzikmafia27 Winehouse is terrible. I can't even properly articulate this feeling. She has zero talent, she just hides behind an amazing band.

Lady Gaga, I really have no big qualms with her. She wears McQueen as crazy couture shit and it's very cool. She writes catchy songs that I can dig.

But she, in my opinion, cannot hold a candle to Fiona Apple. Fiona Apple is organic and tortured and a genius, while Gaga can only hope that people view her in that regard. Gaga is fun, yet unoriginal.
