Mazdaspeed3 2 resonator delete- before/after

Here is a quick sound sample of the before and after of a resonator delete. The stock exhaust goes: {1st catalytic converter on the down pipe} {2nd catalytic converter} {1st resonator} {2nd resonator} {Muffler}. My current exhaust is: {1st Cat} {2nd Cat} {Muffler}. It is simply a matter of replacing the resonator with straight pipe of the same size. You might hear people claim hp gains, but the stock resonator is a straight pass through, so replacing it with another straight pass through pipe does not reduce back pressure. The benefit is merely auditory.

Did you notice any vibration in the car after this? (sounds beautiful after the 2 resonators were deleted). I just landed a 2007 MS3, considering this option.

@Verbosity1 As far as car exhausts go, it's quite tame. It is enough to make the car sound beefy, but it's nothing like a domestic v8 or anything. I park in a parking structure at work and I rarely set off car alarms. I cannot see why anyone would experience "vibrations" from a mod like this. Overall I'm very pleased with it, the exception being that the shop that did the mod didn't hang the exhaust properly and it was too close to the shroud on the bumper and subsequently melted a part of it.

@mrlacey there is another speed3 in moval that lives less than 5 miles from me that has the cp-e front mounted intercooler; it looks badass. My uncle just moved in next to them, thats how I saw it.

Remove that muffler, it will sound so much better. ill post some vids of my car soon, i removed 2 resonators closest to the muffler and the muffler.

Got my 2 resonators out and it sounds like SEX. ABSOLUTE SEX.
