I created this video for my 1000th blog post on my blog about motion graphics and everything moving image related. This is some kind of best-of/hommage of all the videos I talked about in my blog during those 1000 posts.
For this I wanted to get a complete sci-fi 80's feeling back when any computer graphics instantly meant "future" and now look dated. I also used the wonderful and not-so-well-known ASCIImeo [http://www.asciimeo.com/] to create the ASCII Art feel. It's a website that takes videos from Vimeo and turn them into a lovable yet abstract ASCII art style. But it's also a tribute to those outdated technologies [CRT screens, VCR,...] that spawned the digital era.
