One 1 June 2010 I took a self guided walk around Poblenou Cemetery. The cemetery offers a display of different periods and styles of some of the most important sculptors and architects of the XIX and XX centuries. The original cemetery was built in 1775 by Bishop Climent, but sadly was destroyed in 1813 by Napoleon's army. Italian architect Antonio Ginesi was in charge of construction of the new cemetery which was blessed on April 15, 1819.
