An amazing video to accompany Karen's amazing vocals! Great Job.
The Carpenters released this on the 1977 album, "Passage". It should have been a single. Anne's version is awesome too.

Karen's version is perfect, crisp, there will be no other voice like hers. Richard mixed it so well, almost too well. Anne's voice is not as crisp, but that's what makes her so loved and desired by her fans (I am a fan of both). The "natural" sound of Anne is unbeatable, something that even Karen probably could not do, as she was such a perfectionist and the growls and grunts were not her style. I agree, enjoy both, the Dusty Springfield version is just as appreciable in my opinion!

@Suzi64grad Actually, the song was written by Steve Dorff, with co-writers Larry Herbstritt, Harry Lloyd, and Gloria Sklerov. Dusty Springfield, Karen Carpenter, and Anne Murray have done the song.

I appreciate the copyright holders allowing me to keep this video on in exchange for ads to download this song on iTunes and Amazon. Personally, I recommend buying the whole CD. I did and I enjoy it greatly.
This is a much more intelligent arrangement than blocking peoples' videos. Some of us put great time and personal effort into making videos for these songs, yet we receive no compensation for our work. Why not work together to spread the love and beauty and bring happiness to others?

Yes. It's Karen Carpenter. Richard released some songs she did a couple years ago. It was a difficult emotional experience for him to do so.

Yes, without a doubt this is Karen. It was my first big record but it was too long for a single and Richard couldn't edit it because of the key changes.
